Great friendly atmosphere...staff are top notch and friendly definitely made us feel very comfortable and at home as we came from northern British Columbia in Canada...within a day you feel like family...until our next visit thank you for your hospitality....

I literally had the feeling that I could not ask too much of the staff, all were fantastically attentive. We had nothing but welcome and hospitality on our visit to the Borders, Balcary House was at the top of our wonderful experiences. A Grand House of a time long gone, lovingly restored.
We have just had a lovely two day break staying at the Balcary House Hotel. We arrived to be greeted by Mr & Mrs Watson who were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay a delight. The hotel sits in lovely gardens and is close to the town centre and has been decorated beautifully and we found everything that we could have wanted. The food we had was of a good standard and served to us by pleasant and helpful staff.Thank you for a brilliant weekend and we will certainly be returning.
