Although we arrived late, the owner was very welcoming, and friendly. Room was lovely, had a great sleep, dog enjoyed it too! Too late for dinner, but she suggested Indian across the way who were only just stopping serving! Breakfast was the usual offering, but more tasty! If we are up that way again, will definitely be staying longer!
Great value for money traditional hotel. Rooms in the main hotel are much nicer than the annex.Decor is old school but tidy. Bar is closing and will be tea and coffee instead.Friendly staff and good choice of breakfast included.

All the rooms in the main building looked lovely - the annex looks less attractive. The bed in our room was very comfortable.We stayed on Easter Monday and were the only guests, so the bar and restaurant were not open.Very welcoming and helpful greeting from Emily.Breakfast was very good - the omelette was superb, and there were other great-sounding options as well as a Scottish Breakfast. Sandra was very helpful getting it all ready for us.
I was here years ago with a friend.. we were having the worst night because we were in a strange country and my friend had lost her ID on the bus. It was late at night and the owner of the hotel let us stay and they even gave us breakfast. They were so incredibly nice and helpful - we'll never forget it! They helped us get the ID back and generally restored our faith in humanity hahaha. The hotel was very comfortable! The room was large and everything was clean. Thank you once again!!
