Fantastic location amazing scenery an views brilliant hosts and a very cosy sweet well decorated an equip little cottage highly recommend.
Great campsite hidden away in the Scottish borders. Peaceful, tranquil and picturesque.Lovely owners and a couple of lovely resident horses too. Had a great weekends stay and will definitely be back
Just returned from an amazing night camping at Rue Du Chateau. We had a pitch by the river which was flat and secluded. Made use of the farm house facilities which surpassed exceptions for a "back to basics" campsite (we did have a wander to find the horsebox loo too and that would have been perfect too). Having a fire pit was a definite plus - this is "proper" camping... expect a walk to your pitch and pack light (although we were offered help by the owners in transporting stuff). The owners are brilliant - friendly and approachable but also just let us get on with it. Thanks for the lend of a corkscrew!!For us this was perfect camping - totally away from it all with no phone signal and no distractions. Just countryside, a river and sheep to entertain us! If you want your camping trip to be 'wild camping' but with the added security of the basic creature comforts this is for you. The midges stayed away with the help of fire and insect repellent!!All in all the best campsite I have ever been to - we will return.
